What you're buying, and what we promise

To Keep Safe is operated by [COMPANY NAME], company number [NUMBER], registered at [ADDRESS] (“we”). You can reach us at hello@tokeepsafe.com. These terms are a contract between us and the person who buys an archive or an occasion (“you”), and they set out how everyone in your family may use it.

A private archive for one family: photographs, video, voice recordings, written memories, the names of the people in the pictures and how they are related, and pages for occasions. It is kept by the people you name as keepers, shared with the members you invite, and — for one occasion at a time, while its link is open — with the guests they invite. Nobody else can see in.

Members sign in with a Google account. A keeper can add members, name other keepers, open and close guest links, export the whole archive, and delete it. Every keeper has the same powers; there is no single owner, so an archive is never locked to one person’s login. You are responsible for who you make a keeper.

Anything you have the right to keep and share with your family: your own photographs and recordings, and those given to you. Do not add material that is unlawful, that infringes someone else’s rights, or that a person in it would reasonably object to. You remain the owner of everything you add. We take no rights in it beyond what is needed to store it and show it to the people you have chosen.

No advertising. Nothing about you or your family is sold, shared or rented to anyone. Nothing you add is used to train any AI. No face recognition. Guests are never tracked. Your archive can be exported in full, in ordinary file formats, at any time, and deleted in full by any keeper at any time. An occasion — £59, paid once. A page for the day at its own address, cards for the tables, guest uploads, and your family archive for twelve months from purchase with 20 GB of space.

The archive — £49 a year, or £4.99 a month. Everything, with 100 GB of space.

More space — in 100 GB steps, £2.99 a month or £29 a year each.

Prices include VAT where it applies. Payments are taken by our payment partner, Paddle, who acts as the merchant of record: your receipt comes from Paddle, and Paddle handles the payment itself, tax, and refunds under our refund policy. We may change prices for future periods; we will tell you at least thirty days before a renewal at a new price.

Each plan includes a set amount of space. When an archive is full, new uploads pause until more space is added. Nothing already in the archive is removed, everything stays viewable, and it can still be exported.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; the archive stays fully open until the end of the period you have paid for. After that it becomes read-only: everyone can still see everything and export it, but nothing new can be added until it is renewed. We do not delete an archive for non-payment.

Any keeper can delete the entire archive. Deletion is immediate and complete: files, recordings, names, connections and pages are removed, and we keep no copy beyond the short-term backups described in our privacy notice, which expire on their own schedule. We will not delete an archive on anyone else’s instruction, including ours, except where the law requires it.

We take care of the archive as described: files are stored in the EU, backed up daily, and served only to the people you have chosen. We will do our best to keep the service available, and to tell you in good time about any change that affects you. We are not responsible for what members or guests add, for loss caused by a keeper’s choices, or for anything outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer, or our liability for anything the law does not allow us to limit. Because photographs matter, we also ask this of you: keep your own copy. Export is always available, and we would rather you had two copies than one.

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you by email at least thirty days before the change applies. If you do not accept the change, you can cancel; the archive becomes read-only at the end of your paid period, as above.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts there have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK or the EU, you keep the protection of the consumer law where you live.
